The dojo

The dojo of the Aïki-Do Club Stockel is located in Stockel, at 227 Orban Avenue, 1150 Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, close to STIB public transport: Stockel metro station, tram 39, bus 36, and just steps from Dumon Square.

The dojo was founded in 1961 by Marie-Lydie Picrit, a first-prize laureate of the Brussels Conservatory (piano). She wanted to add Aïki-Do to the numerous courses already offered at the Art & Health School, which she had established in 1954.

Today, Serge Picrit (7th DAN AIKIKAI and president of the Union Belge d’Aïki-Do) teaches here, offering classes for children, teens, and adults.

With a focus on education and instruction, there is no bar within the dojo (numerous establishments are available nearby).

It is a small dojo of 70 m², equipped with traditional rice-straw tatami mats.
